In 1977 Edward Gorey was hired to create the set and costume design for the Broadway revival of "Dracula" (for which he won a Tony Award for Best Costume Design along with a nomination for Best Scenic Design).

The "3D" Art boards each feature a piece of art that has been digitally separated and printed on two sperate wood layers giving the image depth and separation. To further complete the piece we add a power-coated metal backer which has been laser cut to include a key hole for hanging and a slot for inserting an easel.
